Would like to see Ronald go after stone; that’s if the sens let him talk and an extension is agreed.

Players like him are ones u use some of the assets u have accumulated over the last 4 years.

Thanks, Bill. Agree with your assessments of the USA players for the most part. JOB was great when he was on, but went unnoticed for what seemed like a few stretches. I think that may have to do with change of position, new teammates and environment in general.

My last post from previous blog....

YEah, The Hughes' were amazing. As was Berggen. All of a sudden he's got the puck, moving at full speed down the ice, or pops out from behind the net for a scoring chance, or makes a sneaky pass. He was fun to watch. Detroit got both Zadina and Breggen.

Lundestrom was decent, too (I always liked him). I know he scored a goal, but I don't know what his offensive output is going to be if he makes the NHL. I think it will depend on his linemates

Good thing it wasn't Neuvy doing that. He'd be out the season.

If Stone hits the open market, he's the perfect guy to replace Simmonds if we let him walk for nothing at the end of his contract. Not likely, just saying though.

I'll bet he's gone after this season, maybe even a td move.

I don't think it changes what you wrote, but it's unlikely we get him at this stage. He'll likely be a candidate to trade for come the deadline.

Wouldn't mind adding Stone to the mix, either.

There are 4 top-six upside forwards (Frost, Farabee, O'Brien and possibly Ratcliffe or Allison), a top-4 upside D (Myers) and a potential No. 1 goalie (Hart) on that list, and I don't even agree with their top-10. Not meh at all.

Why is it unlikely as he def will be traded imo. Just a matter of when and if I am Ottawa I do it sooner rather than later

I think Laczynski will be a solid role player type. Laberge, Aube-Kubal, Sushko could be possible bottom 6 role types. Friedman and Morin bring defensive depth. Possibly Hogberg. Sandstrom and Ustimenko in goal provide organizational depth.

They have a lot of depth. Even after the so called top 10 they could have some high reward types and guys that will fill NHL roles.

I guess I'm just going off the way situations like this happen. Typically, a team won't sign then trade a player. Bad PR, future RFAs/UFAs would be less likely to sign.

They are going to be bottom with or without stone imo. Moving him doesn’t change that much in the standings to me.
